What’s your usual blackjack bet size?

I end up bouncing between $10 and $25 a hand more than I want to, and I’m trying to get more settled with one normal bet instead of changing it every time I win two hands or lose two and start doing dumb shit. I like when my play is calm and the same for most of the session, but in blackjack I still mess with the sizing more than I should. If I bring $300 or $400, I can’t tell if my regular bet should really be $10, or if $15 or $25 is still fine as a default and I’m just being too cautious. How do you pick your usual blackjack bet size without overthinking every hand? Am I betting too big if I’m sitting down with $400 and making $25 my standard bet at a normal shoe game? I’m not talking about crazy doubles and splits changing the total for a hand, I mean what you usually put out first before anything happens. Curious what people here use as their normal number and whether you stick to it pretty hard or move it around a lot depending on how the table is going

$400 at $25 is only 16 units. I go 1/20 of the roll, so $20 flat.

Same. Pick the number before i sit and don't touch it. 16 units at $400/$25 is fine.

I've done the same with a 400 buy-in, picked it to feel safe rather than because it was a plan.

$25 is 16 starting bets on $400, and a rough shoe can chew through that.

I’d stay at $10, maybe $15 if the swings feel manageable (I’d keep it fixed either way).

The online gambling industry attracts plenty of attention, but users still benefit from approaching financial decisions carefully and avoiding promises that sound too good to be true.

That’s sensible, but $25 feels too much of a $400 session bankroll for my usual bet. I’d pick $10 or $15 before the shoe starts and leave it there, otherwise I’m doing dumb shit after a couple hands.
