what bankroll do you even need to play blackjack “properly”

So I’ve read a bunch about how you’re supposed to have some huge bankroll for blackjack if you want to play it “properly” and not get wiped by variance. Some people say you need at least 100 times your standard bet but others go way higher. Feels kind of nuts unless you’ve got deep pockets or only play for tiny amounts. Is anyone here actually following this rule or do most people just wing it and hope they hit a lucky stretch? I like live dealer games but I’m not rolling in crypto so I’m kind of debating how real this is.

Flat betting is the move if your bankroll is limited because it actually slows down variance and lets you gauge if your live dealer habits are draining or sustainable. If you ever feel the urge to up your bet after a loss, that’s when things get sketchy fast
