why are casino bonus wagering requirements so insanely high

seriously, some of these rollover numbers are wild. i saw one this week with 50x on both the deposit and bonus. like, what’s the real point? i get that they’re trying to stop people from just cashing out instantly, but it feels like they make it nearly impossible to actually win something off the promo. i mainly play slots and live dealer, so even when i go on a hot streak, it just gets swallowed up by the wagering.
