dealer rotation weird

Saw something odd last night during a live poker session - dealers weren’t rotating at the usual intervals. One stayed in for almost an hour while others swapped out every 15 minutes or so. I get that sometimes they might have to adjust if someone's on break or something, but this felt off. Didn’t see any obvious mistakes or favoritism, but it’s just weird since rotation is supposed to keep the game fair.

Is this something you guys have noticed before, and should I care if it happens again?
