casino says my win needs manual approval because bet size changed during session

never ran into this one before - i was spinning slots, adjusted my bet size a couple times, and hit a decent bonus. now the casino says my win needs “manual approval” since i changed bets during the session. they’re acting like that’s suspicious somehow. never saw any rule about not switching bet sizes, and i do it all the time to keep variance in check. wondering if this is just a stall tactic or if anyone else got hit with this before. really starting to wonder about the transparency on these sites and how much freedom we actually have during play.

Not really buying the outrage here. I got clipped once because I forgot a bonus was still attached and bounced my stake during a feature, so now I assume promo terms are where they hide this kind of nonsense even when the cashier makes it look like clean balance only

Yeah, changing bet size in one session is not some red flag by itself, that part I’d push back on. Every spin is its own wager, same with Live Dealer hands, the system already logs the exact stake tied to the win, there’s nothing to “figure out” after the fact. I had one place do this on a slot hit after I went from .40 to 1.20 and back, and sure enough manual review turned into a slow walk for documents 🙄 if it wasn’t in the rules before play, that’s them buying time

What jumps out to me is the phrase manual approval. That usually means a sloppy back office, not some clever fraud check. I was dumb enough to keep playing while one place “reviewed” a hit for 3 days, and yesss, they found extra docs to ask for right after. That tells you plenty.

Yeah, I’d be frustrated too. Clear verification requirements upfront would make the process much easier to trust.

What gets me is they never spell it out until you finally hit something worth cashing. I missed a buried promo rule once and paid for it, so now “manual approval” just reads like stalling, and yes, I'm still sore about it.

"Manual approval" after a bet switch, sure. Did they name the slot and exact spin, or just toss that line out and hope you blink first.
