Gave live blackjack another shot yesterday and it was the same mess again.
Slow dealers, constant shuffles, people joining and leaving every hand, and the timer rushing me when the table has already wasted enough time on its own.
Are there any live tables that don't drag like this?
Can you turn off some of the nonsense on screen or is it all stuck that way

The visual design of a casino game can be impressive, but a clear explanation of its rules and features is more useful than animation alone.
The timer isn't the problem, the seven-seat tables are. Find a smaller one.
Gamdom has different game options to browse, but I’d compare the actual table speed before settling in.
Browsing the options list tells you nothing. Watched a table look fine and crawl.
The chat and bet feed can be hidden in most clients' settings, dealer pace you can't touch. That's the whole toggle list.

dealer pace is pretty baked into the live format, can't toggle the timer or shuffles.
tried quieter tables but the second you think it'll go smooth someone joins mid-round and it stalls
I don't think the timer or shuffles are settings they can change. A late joiner can still turn a quiet live blackjack table into a stop-start mess, though.
A late joiner isn't the mess, it's the dealer sitting on his hands waiting for them. That shit adds minutes.
Thats the worst bit. you get a quiet table going and some random joins and you just sit there while the dealer stands there waiting for them to sort their bet
