I keep increasing bets after losses… terrible habit I know

so i know it’s dumb, but every time i lose on slots i almost automatically up my next spin. i’ll go from 0.20 to 0.50 or even higher, like my brain thinks the machine owes me something. my stats brain knows that’s nonsense - doesn’t matter if it’s slots or roulette, the last spin means nothing to the next - but in the moment i just keep thinking my luck’s about to turn.

i do the same thing with roulette sometimes, especially on reds or blacks. i’ll see a streak of blacks and then throw extra on red, assuming the wheel must be due. honestly i tell myself i’m smarter than this, but the urge is just there. anyone actually figured out how to stop doubling down or is it just one of those things you gotta always wrestle with if you’re gonna play? feel like i’ve read every trick and still get caught up.

setting a timer between spins snapped me out of tilt when i kept chasing losses on progressive jackpots, like giving your stats brain a moment to veto the gut. ever try using cooldowns like in sports betting to pause before the next move?

I fight the same urge and found tracking my session bankroll (not just each spin) helps check that revenge mindset, especially when chasing after a tiny respin or small win. Ever tried setting a strict stop loss for the whole day instead of by spin?

Recognizing every win animation as just a dopamine hit, not a sign to raise stakes, helped me see through my old habits - do video slots ever trick you like that too? The urge never really goes away but treating each spin like a new patient chart gives my risk brain room to breathe.
