prop source mismatch

Tried lining up a few NBA player prop bets across different books and noticed the odds and even the stat lines themselves can be way out of sync. Sometimes you get a rebound over/under at 7.5 on one, but it's 8.5 or even 9 somewhere else. Same goes for the payout odds - random gaps for what should be identical bets. Feels like there’s a bigger spread lately.

I’m guessing some of these books use third-party prop sources, but others seem to set their own lines. Been reading that sharp action on one site sometimes triggers weird adjustments on another too. Makes it weird for comparing value when you’re always hunting down the “right” line. Anyone else feel like the mismatches are getting more frequent, or am I just noticing it more now that I’m shopping props harder?

How do you handle it - just chase the best number, or do you have a system for tracking where the sharper or slower lines show up?

Yeah, lowkey it’s not some deep market mystery lol, a lot of books just gunk up the prop board to feed promos. I see the dumbest line splits on “profit boost” stuff way before tip, plain pregame, not even injury news. After a while i stopped treating every mismatch like it means anything lmao

7.5 to 9 is gross lol, slots bonus buys feel more honest than that and yeah i'm a little salty I never catch the soft one

The part that bugs me isn’t even the gap, it’s when one book hangs the normal line and another quietly shoves you onto alt props like yeah thanks man, very generous. You seeing it more on bench guys and late injury news, or even in plain pre-match stuff now too?

nah, i don’t buy that it’s suddenly worse, you’re just staring at props harder now. i’ve seen 7.5 to 9.5 on the same rebounds market when one book is slow and another already got hit, especially near tipoff
