sportsbook voided my rugby handicap because team name was listed slightly wrong

made a rugby handicap bet and the sportsbook just voided it saying there was a "discrepancy" with the team name, like one letter off in the listing. outcome had already played out, the team i picked actually covered, so it's not like i was getting some unfair edge. just feels super sketchy and i'm trying to decide if it's worth fighting or just a normal thing they do to dodge liability. i always thought minor listing errors would get sorted, not voided after the fact.

anyone seen this happen with other sports? feels like maybe there's more to it or some unspoken policy i missed. i've had live dealer spots where the payout got reviewed, but never got reversed just for a typo.

yep, i've seen it in blackjack promos toooo. if they void after it wins, that's them hiding behind house rules.

The part that bugs me is rugby handicaps get graded off the event ID and market line, not some intern dropping a letter in the team name. If the kickoff, league, and handicap all matched, that "discrepancy" excuse is thin as paper. Seen the same stink in tennis and live dealer stuff too, where suddenly everything needs verification after you win, funny how that clock only starts then?!

Event ID is the bet, not the typo. Had a roulette result "review" sit 17 mins once, same crap!!!

Rugby, tennis, same junk. Had a roulette payout “reviewed” 14 minutes later once 🙄 one-letter typo magically matters only after a win

Screenshot the bet slip if you still have it. The handicap, fixture and team name together should make it pretty obvious whether there was any actual ambiguity.

screenshots or it turns into smoke. seen books try the same move on niche soccer handicaps, and slots support gets just as creative after the fact

The slip helps, but i’d look at when they graded it more than the typo. Had a tennis total sit “pending review” for hours, only got voided after it landed, same stink. Seen it in poker promos too, they get real careful once you actually win, must be nice

Yeah I’ve had the same flavor of crap, not rugby, slots. Tiny “system check” only shows up after a decent hit, never when you’re bleeding. I used to shrug and keep playing, that was my mistake, if they void once they’ll do it again. Enough
