Do odds boosts ever change what you bet on?
For me, boosts almost never change which game i want to bet, they change which version of the bet i take. If i already like a side at -110 and the boost turns it into +110 or +120, then sure, i'll take the boosted line instead of the regular one. But i'm not going to start liking a 3-leg same game parlay because the book put 30% on it. My usual stake is 50 or 100, and a better price might have me put 75 on something. It doesn't turn a pass into a full-size bet just because it says boost.
It can break a tie when i'm already looking at two bets. On a crowded slate i might have one game total priced at -108 in my numbers and another at +102, and if that second one gets boosted to +125, i might go with it. I still want to have been okay betting it before the boost, even if it was for a smaller amount. I keep that rule because some of the offers look great until you check the limits and see the max win is about 25 (that tells you enough).
Same game boosts are where i see people talked into adding legs they weren't going to bet. A boost on one market is easy enough to compare, but with parlays the percentage can make a bad combo look tempting. I've seen people turn a simple 80 bet into a boosted combo because the payout goes from about 145 to 240, like the extra money is free. I'd rather leave the 80 on the straight bet. If i do use a parlay boost, i'll cut the stake: if i would normally put 60 on a straight bet, i might put 20 or 25 on the parlay and leave the rest in my bankroll. Learned that one after seeing how quickly a string of extra bets can eat into it.
So boosts can change my pick when two things are close, or change the amount i put on a bet i already liked. They don't often change my mind from no bet to yes. If i had nothing written down before i saw the promo, i usually leave it alone. Some people build the whole card around boosts, but i end up with more bets than i wanted that way. I'd rather have three bets at 50 each that i meant to make than seven boosted ones at 20 each that i only put on because they were sitting there in the app.
did u check the max win first
