Does anyone actually enjoy betting anymore or just the wins 😅

i’ve been thinking about this a lot lately because it feels like most people just grind away hoping for that big payout and not really enjoying the bets themselves. like, i get it, the thrill of a solid win is why we all got hooked at some point, but is that all that’s left? i still get a weird kick out of the little stuff - like reading the table, watching the live dealer shuffle, sweating the flop in poker. it’s kinda the reason i stick around, even when the runs are cold.

maybe i’m just built different or it’s that background in stats and risk, but i like the challenge in figuring out odds and making a play even if i end up losing more often than not. sometimes it feels like the process is more interesting than the prize at the end. are any of you still here for the ride, or is it only about cashing out as often as possible for you now?
