Back to Blackjack

why do some blackjack games have completely different rules than expected.

Every time I think I've got blackjack figured out, I run into a table where they're doing something totally weird with the rules. Like sometimes they're not letting you double after a split, or the dealer is hitting on soft 17, or there's some funky payout for blackjack itself. I got burned the other night thinking I was making a smart play but then the table had 6,5 payout instead of 3,2 and poof, profit margin gone. It’s getting hard to even know if you’re walking into a standard game or if you need to squint at the fine print like you’re trying to read warranty terms.

Is this just casinos trying to squeeze more out of the regulars, or are there legit reasons for flipping the rules around? I keep seeing new side bets too that feel like they’re just distractions. Seems like unless you scout every table first, your usual strategy could backfire big time.

Yeah yeah, but 6:5 is the part that annoys me sooo bad. Instant walk.
