why do some blackjack games let you resplit aces.

so i’ve noticed a few places offer the chance to resplit aces and some just shut you down after the first split. never totally figured out why they care so much about stopping players from splitting them again. feels like it wouldn’t really break their bank if they let it ride. some pit bosses have told me it’s to keep things “simple” but i’m not sure if that’s the real reason or just something they say.

i see a lot of people hunt for tables with that rule. does anyone actually have stats on how much it changes the house edge? maybe i’ve been missing out by sticking with the regular rules all these years.

Yeah, it matters. Rsa is worth about 0.08% in classic blackjack, i’ll take that every time, house fights for crumbs too

“keep things simple” always means they’re shaving your bankroll. Same vibe as bet365 roulette hiding racetrack bets, which STILL annoys me.

Not every stripped-down rule is some sneaky bankroll heist lol. I inspect stations all day, half this stuff is just “fewer disputes, fewer headaches” energy!!! Same reason books baby-market alt props in sports betting when grading turns into a clown show lmao

Not everything annoying is a shave. I’ve watched floors kill rules in private blackjack for the same reason poker rooms kill goofy house quirks: extra hand tracking turns into dealer errors and dead time. This one feels more like ops cleanup than some grand bankroll raid.
