does the color of chips actually matter in blackjack games.

so i’ve noticed people sometimes pick certain chip colors at the table like it actually affects their luck or something. maybe it’s just a superstitious thing or maybe they like certain stacks, i dunno. when i play, i just grab whatever’s easy but i always get a little laugh when someone refuses red chips or only plays green. i’ve seen dealers swap chips mid-game and nobody blinked but sometimes a guy acts like it’s a huge deal if the color changes.

does anybody here believe the chip color makes a difference or is it just habit? does the vibe at the table get weird for you if someone makes a fuss about it? kinda curious how much people care about this stuff in general.
