Black came up the second I switched to red

I’ve been running tests on different roulette strategies and this keeps happening to me. I stuck with black for a streak, didn’t hit, so I switched over to red thinking the law of averages might help. Literally the very next spin, black comes up. I know it’s all random, but it still stings seeing the one I was on hit right after I bail. Makes me wonder if sticking to a side no matter what is actually better in the long run or just as pointless as swapping.

I keep getting told to focus on the numbers and ignore the colors, but in practice, I find myself doing these color switches out of habit. Anyone else find that you end up second-guessing yourself more when watching the table live instead of RNG? Just trying to decide if it’s smarter to plan ahead, or accept that switching just messes with my head and commit to a single option for the session.
