Red showed up 8 times and I still bet black

so i sat at the wheel and saw red hit 8 times straight. part of my brain yelled "trend!" and the other part was like nah, black is coming, gotta even out. put a chunk on black, dealer spins, and you can probably guess how that went. red again, no hesitation from the wheel. sometimes i wonder if i’m actually allergic to hot streaks. i know it’s all random but do you folks actually believe in sticking with the run, or is it always better to flip?
