card reveal lag

Anyone else been running into those weird card reveal lags at online blackjack tables lately? The cards will start to flip then just hang for a second before showing, which is basically long enough for my blood pressure to spike and me to suspect some quantum physics trickery going on. Feels like it happens more on the higher stake tables too, but maybe that's just my nerves.

Not even talking about internet lag here, the site itself doesn't stutter with anything else. I keep thinking it’s deliberate, like to build suspense or something, but then why does it just feel so janky instead of exciting? Never see this with roulette, which flips spins instantly like it’s got somewhere to be.

Anyone got theories? Is it a site issue, RNG thing, or am I just too used to the snappy roulette wheel?

Seen this movie before. Half the time it’s not “suspense,” it’s sloppy frontend garbage trying to sync the reveal with whatever verification step they’ve got running behind it. Blackjack gets dressed up with animations, side bets, Continuous Shuffler nonsense, all that lipstick, and then the card hangs like a city website in July. Roulette usually just spits the result and moves on, when it isn’t busy disconnecting like bet365 used to on me. I’ll admit I blamed my old phone once and was wrong. Still think a lot of these Casino & Sportsbook Reviews let janky blackjack clients skate way too easy, and yeah, I’m a little sore because the nicer-looking tables always seem to run the worst.
