Table max question?

I’ve always wondered how often people actually hit the table max in blackjack and what happens when you do. I usually play pretty methodical and try not to go overboard, but I’ve seen folks push their luck and run into that ceiling. Does the pit boss ever budge on limits if you’re on a hot streak or is it basically set in stone for everyone? I’m trying to name a betting pattern project I’m tinkering with, but I want to factor in stuff like the table max so I don’t plan anything impossible. Curious how others handle bumping up against the max.
