table max changed?

so i sat down at my usual blackjack table last night and noticed the table max was way lower than what it was last week. pretty sure it used to be at least double what it is now. didn’t see any big announcement about it either. just one of the pit bosses mentioning it’s “policy change” when someone else complained. kinda messes with my strategy since i like to press my bets when i’m ahead.

anyone else run into this lately? is this just temporary or are the live dealer tables everywhere cutting back on max limits? not sure if it’s just this platform or if i should be adjusting my whole approach. anyone hear more about why they’d make this move?
