caesars blackjack round got voided after dealer exposed hole card.

Was playing a few hands and the dealer somehow managed to flash the hole card right after the initial deal. Pit boss comes over, chat between staff happens, and they call the whole round dead and void all bets. Chips just slid back to everyone. Nobody seemed too fussed, but I haven’t had this happen before in years of playing. Didn’t seem like there was any shady business or arguing, just a quiet reset.

Anybody else run into this? I know casinos gotta keep it fair but I’m curious if rules are always this strict, or does it depend on the house?
