why do some crypto casinos allow you to play while deposits are pending

So I’ve noticed a couple crypto casinos let you jump right into games even if your deposit isn’t fully confirmed yet. It’s weird because it feels risky for them? Like I had a BTC deposit with 0 confirmations and they let me sit at blackjack like nothing’s up. Most sites don’t, though, so I’m guessing there’s a reason some are okay with it.

Does anyone know how these places hedge against people double-spending or canceling the tx? Are they just gambling that most people play fair, or do they limit bets till it’s confirmed? For blackjack and poker, if you win big with pending crypto, do they just not let you withdraw till the network clears it? I get the speed thing is attractive but it seems like it could be gamed hard. Anyone run into problems with this or see abuse happening?

I don’t think it’s some genius hedge. It’s mostly a cheap little onboarding trick: make the lobby feel instant so you start clicking before you think twice. Then if anything interesting happens, suddenly it’s “security review” and your cashout sits there growing moss. I’ve seen that more than once, and it’s always the same sleepy script. For poker especially, they’ll let you splash around fast because action looks good, but the freedom ends the second money needs to leave. Not impressive, just a front-end convenience with a back-end brake pedal !!!
