provably fair audit real?

I keep seeing all this "provably fair" stuff advertised everywhere, especially with crypto slots and table games. Supposedly you can audit the results yourself, but honestly, does anyone here actually know how to verify these outcomes for real? I get the basic idea, seed hashes and whatnot, but it gets so technical.

Feels like it’s mostly for show, unless you’re willing to dig deep into code or trust some third-party checker. For us old-school slot guys, the tech details just kinda fly over my head. Do you folks actually check the fairness, or just trust the casino and hope for the best? Would love to hear if anyone actually caught something fishy this way. How deep do you go into the auditing yourself?

github is exactly where crypto casinos lose me too. half these "audits" feel like homework for kids with spare time

If roulette needs a GitHub repo and a third-party checker, that's not trust, that's homework with optionality stapled to it.

Nah, github math isn't trust lol. If i need a checker to play roulette, i already like the game less... And that's before payout weirdness

Seed hashes aren't proof by themselves, that's where people get sooo loose with it 😐
