why do some online casinos have tournament brackets that are totally rigged

I've noticed some of these casino tourneys always end up with the same small crowd at the top or some random accounts that don't seem active otherwise. It's wild how out of nowhere these players rack up insane scores right before the thing ends. Makes me wonder how transparent the brackets really are or if it's just RNG manipulated in ways we can't check.

I get that the house always wins, but you'd think there would at least be some kind of public list or proof of fair play with these brackets. Instead, it just feels like the whole thing is just a sales trick to get people to play harder. Curious what everyone else sees with this.

I've wondered the same thing, but I think survivorship bias plays a role. The people who consistently grind tournaments tend to show up near the top over and over.

"Grind" is the word lol, same 12 slot goblins farming every bracket like it's a part time job

I think people jump to RIGGED way too fast on these. A lot of these brackets are just badly run, not secretly fixed. I’ve seen roulette leaderboards update in chunks, not spin by spin, so some dead-looking account suddenly jumps 40 places because the board was stale, not because the pit boss lit a candle for them. And half the time the scoring rules are buried in tiny text, multipliers, qualifying bets, tie breaks, all that junk. Sloppy, opaque, sure. But “same names keep winning” usually means they know the format and sit there grinding longer than sane people do.

Blackjack raceboards jump 20% late.

I've noticed that too. It can be confusing, so I usually wait for the leaderboard to refresh before checking my position.

Yep, same junk vibe 😅 those last-minute score jumps are goofy. Were these Roulette tourneys showing live brackets or just magically updating at the end?
