is it dumb to only play table games and avoid slots completely

I always find myself drifting to the live dealer tables instead of the slot machines and started to wonder if I’m just missing something. I get that some people love the flash and chance of the slots, but I always question the math behind those random hits and bonus features. At least with blackjack or roulette, I can see the odds clear as day and feel like I have some say in the outcome, even if it’s small.

A buddy keeps telling me to mix it up and spin the reels once in a while, but I usually pass. It just doesn’t feel as transparent, and watching the credit count bounce around on those glossy screens messes with me. Maybe I’m too stubborn or just risk-averse, but I’m always questioning whether my approach leaves fun and maybe even wins on the table.

Is there anyone else who totally skips slots and just sticks to the tables, or am I selling myself short by ignoring them?
