why do live poker games feel completely different from online?

Sitting at a live poker table just feels way different than playing a dozen hands online at the same time. I keep noticing it when I jump from one to the other. At the casino you’ve got the dealers, chips, the physical tells, even just chatting between hands. My mind ends up playing slower and way more cautious, like I don’t want to embarrass myself with some wild bluff, while online I feel free to try stuff or play more hands since nobody knows me anyway

There’s something weird too about seeing everyone in person and watching chips move, not numbers in a corner. In blackjack and live dealer games, the “realness” sometimes makes me second-guess the same decisions I’d autopilot online. Maybe it’s just the vibe, maybe it messes with your brain more than we think

The wait between live hands actually gives my anxiety time to spiral. Crypto casinos’ instant reloads keep me from overthinking every flop.

seeing the chips actually leave your stack hits different than watching numbers tick down. in blackjack, live dealer tables make me tighten up too, like i subconsciously value each hand more. at the casino i’ve even triple-checked simple plays, just because that “spotlight” vibe gets in your head. online, it’s easier to experiment since no one’s side-eyeing your moves. if you want to break the caution loop, try sticking to a single hand in the live game lobby and treat the first few decisions like practice, not performance - helped me shake the nerves once i realized no one really remembers your folds.
