min raise pain

Why does the min raise mess with people’s heads so much? It feels like every time I try one, someone at the table either calls in frustration or gets annoyed enough to shove over the top. The reactions are always stronger than what you’d think for such a basic play. Is it just about people not liking to be nickel-and-dimed, or is there something deeper in how we process small aggression?

I get why big raises shake things up, but the min raise seems to have its own weird psychological effect. Does this really impact how the game flows, or are we just overthinking things because the results stand out more? Curious what folks here have actually seen at the tables - live or online. For me, it sometimes feels like the most effective way to tilt a table without even meaning to.
