What’s your favorite tournament format?

single table tournaments are all i ever used to play, just cause the vibe feels more like a friends’ home game if you ignore the avatars. been seeing more people talk up bounty formats, though. i get the appeal of knocking out someone and getting instant credit, but i never know when to loosen up with marginal hands - feel like everyone just starts shoving weird spots trying to score some bounties. i also tried one re-buy event last week and wow, bankroll danger zone. maybe the low-stakes ones make sense if you’re bored, but i kept getting the urge to punt chips just cause i knew i could re-enter, and that never ends well for me.

wish there was a format that split the difference a little better, something less marathon than a classic multi-table and not as wild west as a rebuy. anyway, curious what mixes folks gravitate toward or if i’m missing some hidden gem style. i keep thinking i should just go back to low-key sit n gos and not overthink it.

Rebuy got me once too, fake GTO fast

The add-on break is where my brain goes crooked, not even the rebuy. I’ve watched myself turn one clean orbit into three junk stabs from the button just cause there’s a safety net there. Fasttt stupid.

Nah, add-on break ain't the trap, it's knowing you can torch 12 bigs in position lol so yeah, gross

I punted a sit and go bounty once calling UTG way too light just cause the cash felt real 😅 took me a minute to stop doing that

I check stack coverage first. I'm not widening calls for money I can't even collect.

Stack counts, i still check mine twice, boring little habit but it keeps me CALM.

Thin-rim cups of tournament formats lol, rebuys always make people play dumb cause the bankroll leash comes off for a minute...
