best roulette if you want minimal house edge mathematically.
so i keep seeing people talk about how european roulette is always the best bet because it’s got a lower house edge than american. like, yeah, mathematically that’s obviously true because of the extra double zero on american, but does it really matter that much in practice for folks like us just spinning for fun or side cash? i play a lot of poker where edge really compounds over time, but roulette kinda feels like no matter what version i play, my money evaporates at the same rate.
also, some of these online versions are calling things “french roulette” but i can’t actually see much difference besides maybe the la partage rule. does anyone here actually feel that benefit in the long run, or is it just a tiny extra percentage that doesn’t move the needle unless you’re high rolling for hours? if you switched from american to euro, did you notice any better runs, or just the same old streaky luck?
