best roulette if you want to understand the wheel's history?
I keep hearing everyone talk up double zero roulette since it's everywhere, but if you actually care about history, that's not where things started. I know most casinos push that table because of the higher edge, but I feel like people skip past the European single zero layout way too fast. It's more true to what the original roulette was, before all the American tweaks. The old school wheels didn’t even have the double zero at all.
If anyone's really into the heritage of the game, shouldn't we be looking for the ones using the classic single zero format? I'm not even talking about those fancy themed versions or lightning features, just straight up old style wheel with the numbers in the original order. I get that everyone loves different spins or bonus rounds, but those have nothing to do with actual roulette history. Curious who actually prioritizes playing on wheels that stick to the roots, instead of just going for the biggest paytables or add-ons.
