why some roulette numbers seem cursed by all players

Can anyone explain why it feels like some numbers on the roulette wheel get labeled as cursed? I’m not just talking about people avoiding the obvious outliers like zero or double zero, but the superstitions around random regular numbers. Last week at the table, everyone was avoiding 13 and 17 like the plague, even though I’m pretty sure the odds don’t care what number it is. It’s like once a number goes cold for a bit, everyone just stops touching it, and then it gets this reputation.

Does anyone actually track this stuff seriously, or is it all just gamblers’ lore that sticks around? I like stability and discipline with my bets, but sometimes I do wonder if I’m missing something or if this is all just classic table herd mentality. Anyone here purposely avoid certain numbers, or maybe you chase them out of spite?

It’s usually just table gossip hardening into “truth,” same as bad Casino & Sportsbook Reviews built off one weird session. Was this a live table or something like monte carlo roulette online, and did anyone there actually log 200 spins, or were they just staring at a cold 17 and acting holy about it?

Live roulette makes people weird lol. Soon as a session goes bad, they need one EVIL little number to blame instead of their goofy outside bets, then Casino & Sportsbook Reviews fill up with that same nonsense lmao

It’s just table folklore !!! People see a cold 17 and act haunted. Crypto casino chats do the exact same thing

Its herd behavior, same junk as slots players swearing a machine is due. Ive tracked spins before: 17 was just 17, people were making the story 😒
