best roulette if you want to feel like you control something

Chasing that feeling of having some say in how things turn out, I keep bouncing back to the different roulette variations but honestly, they all feel like pure fate with very little to work with. I've played around with betting patterns and tried every progression under the sun - Martingale, Fibonacci, even thrown in a few of my own tweaks. Still, at the end of the day it’s like pushing buttons on a slot, the edge is baked in.

Maybe European wheels are better for odds, but American wheels seem to have more fun tables and streakier games. Is there a type or style of roulette where anyone actually feels more in control, or are we all just along for the ride?
