martingale cooked me again

Tried Martingale on even/odd for what felt like ages and it was fine until it just... wasn’t. Got hit with a bad streak, bankroll wiped out in a handful of spins. I keep reading how simple and “safe” this is if you start small and have enough to cover a streak, but it really only takes one unlucky run and you’re cooked. Feels almost scripted how quickly it can go sideways after a bunch of small wins.

Not my first time trying some version of it and getting burned. Doesn’t matter what I pick - red/black, high/low, always ends the same if I don’t walk away quick. Anyone ever find a way to use progression betting that doesn’t just implode eventually? Or is the only trick just walking away when you’re up, before it snowballs? Curious how people deal with the urge to chase when it “should” turn around but doesn’t.

Yeah lol, progression betting always turns into "just one more double" till you're ash. Blackjack at least gives surrender. Roulette gives you 5.26% and vibes!!!
