Chasing section repeats

I was watching someone at the live dealer roulette table just keep hammering the same section over and over, hoping for back-to-back repeats in the same quadrant. I get the appeal since it feels like lightning might strike twice, but I can't wrap my head around whether there's actually any kind of edge to this or if it's just another pattern people see in the randomness.

I usually stick to slots but keep finding myself curious about these roulette habits. The math side of me just doesn't see how chasing repeats in sections would help, but I'm new to this approach. Wondering if anyone has actually tracked their sessions doing this and noticed anything meaningful.

I tracked 412 spins on rapid roulette after a dead poker night and the “same section again” crowd looked exactly like people refusing to end a bad session. No edge, just tempo and tilt dressed up as a system. Saw one guy miss 9 straight six lines doing it 🙂

Maybe, but "quadrant" is doing a lot of work there. Poker guys say that too
