cold numbers real?

so i keep seeing talk about "cold numbers" being due or "hot numbers" staying hot, but honestly i’m not buying it. i know a lot of players swear by tracking the number board and betting on cold ones, like somehow the ball is just waiting for that one pocket to catch up. the more i watch, the less it makes sense. seems like just another layer of superstition that gets thrown into every game. the last time i tracked this for myself, cold numbers stayed cold about as often as they suddenly hit, but maybe i missed something.

is there anyone here who's really tracked these over a decent sample size? every time i try, i just end up with a bunch of losing sessions following cold numbers, so i’m doubting there’s any real edge. would like to know if anyone has results different from what i’ve been seeing.

Yeah I tracked it, not in some heroic way, just a stupid spreadsheet over a few thousand roulette spins because I got tired of hearing "due" like that means anything. Cold stayed cold plenty, then hit once and people acted vindicated. Only thing I'd even look at is actual wheel bias, and most people calling a number cold are nowhere near that, I wasn't either at first.

"few thousand" is the part that got me 😏 I logged 6,200 once and the board still looked like random garbage
