roulette stats reset?

Noticed some folks at my local spot were tracking red/black and odd/even to look for "streaks," but the pit boss said stats pretty much reset every spin. I get that roulette's technically random, but I'm curious if there’s any strategy that actually makes use of past spin stats at all, or if it’s just giving yourself something to do. Personally, I just set my wager and wait, but a few swear by their notepads and number clusters. Wondering if anyone’s actually seen a pattern pay off.

Yeah the pit boss is right lol, every spin is its own thing, and online casinos made me even more over the notebook act because I’ve watched virtual roulette histories hiccup and people still swear the cold numbers mean something!!! It’s busywork mostly

Maybe, if the wheel's biased. Otherwise stats reset and the red/black notepad crowd is just decorating the house edge with extra steps.

I do believe previous spins can provide useful information, but not necessarily in the classic sense of seeing a streak and expecting it to reverse. In my case, I’m more interested in how different categories and sequences relate to each other, which conditions tend to repeat, and how they develop over several spins. That’s where, at least for me, analyzing the history starts to make more sense.
