Racetrack chips stuck?

so this weekend, i grabbed a couple roulette chips at the local track thinking i'd use them later on. had them deep in my jeans pocket and now they're jammed together and won't separate for the life of me. feels like they're fused or something. tried just twisting them but it's not doing anything except hurting my fingers.

never had this happen with chips from the casino floor, so i'm not sure if the racetrack chips are different or what. has anyone else had issues with racetrack chips sticking together like this? i'm guessing it might be some weird grime or just bad molding. figured i’d ask here before i risk snapping them or get strange looks at the cage.

Yeah, had it happen with track roulette chips, not really with poker chips. The part people miss is it’s usually the FLAT faces, not some dramatic “fused” thing lmao. Roulette chips from tracks tend to be smoother/less textured, so pocket pressure + lint + skin oil basically makes a gross little seal. Annoying as hell. If twisting’s just killing your fingers, stop doing that lol, you’re probably making it worse 😒

Lol “deep in my jeans pocket” is doing a lot here. Racetrack roulette chips always felt tackier than floor chips to me.

Yeah, pocket heat and grime will do it. Had two Live Dealer chips weld up in my coat once, same thing.

nah, the real enemy is heat + pocket sludge lol. racetrack chips get grimy as hell way faster than regular floor stuff, and if they sat smashed together in jeans they basically vacuum-seal themselves like cheap tupperware lmao. i had two stuck after a poker night at a track bar setup, thought i was gonna crack one trying to hero-twist it like an idiot. don't force it dry. tiny bit of warm water around the edge, let it sit, then work a fingernail or a card in there. if it's bad molding you'll feel the ridge right away. but yeah, 9 times outta 10 it's just pocket goo being disgusting!!!

yeah tracks use cheaper plastic trash way more than real casino floor chips, thats the distinction. had a pair from a greyhound room do this exact dumb thing, online casinos dont have this bc racetrack there is just a bet layout not a physical chip issue 🙄
