dealer spun early

so the other night i’m sitting at my usual roulette table, just trying to keep it steady, and the dealer spins the wheel before everyone finishes placing chips. i’m not talking about right after last call either, this was like mid-action, a couple folks still reaching for their chips. one guy got pretty heated, saying his chips weren’t set, but dealer just shrugged and called no more bets. only upside is, i always try to set bets fast anyway, habits from back when i’d forget numbers, but i saw at least two regulars clearly lose out because of it.

this ever happen to anyone else? i get that the house keeps it moving, but early spins seem off, especially if you’re tracking patterns or trying a system. is there anything that can be done when the spin’s too early, or do you just have to eat it and move on?
