Orphelins coverage?

I’m kicking around the idea of adding orphelins to my regular roulette routine but can’t decide if it’s just another way to leak chips. Normally I stick to stable outside bets, but the idea of covering those orphan numbers gets tempting when the same numbers keep missing my usual patterns. There’s always someone at the table who wins big on a random straight up in that slice, and it kind of messes with my head.

Thing is, I’ve worked up a pretty reliable system that keeps me from making impulsive bets, so throwing orphelins in the mix might wreck my rhythm. I guess the math says it’s all evened out in the long run, but there’s something about not leaving any number out in the cold that feels right on some level. Has anyone here actually built orphelins into their regular game and come out ahead? Interested in hearing what it does for your discipline or stability, not just the hot streak stories.
