Live roulette or instant roulette?

i keep going in circles on this.

with live roulette i get maybe 35 to 45 spins in an hour.
with instant roulette it's more like 90 to 120 if i don't slow myself down.

same bets, generally flat on even chances with a couple numbers added on.
so the edge is the same, but variance hits a lot faster on instant.

is this basically the same game with a much bigger hourly swing because of the pace?

(i'm not talking about the wheel look or dealer part)

90 to 120 an hour is a proper session, I'd take that swing any day.

Per-spin edge is identical. Hourly loss scales with spin count though, so ~40 to ~100 is about 2.5x the action and variance per hour rises roughly the same. Sd only goes up about 1.6x since it scales with the square root of n, not n.

Same game just faster

same edge, just more spins so the swings per hour get bigger. 3x the spins is 3x the variance basically.
