Slot betting strategies: why do some people swear by bet progression

I’ve seen a lot of folks in the casino or online who will swear that using bet progression systems like Martingale or some Fibonacci thing helps them beat the slots in the long run. I get the psychology of chasing your losses, but I’m honestly skeptical since the machine odds don’t actually change with your bet size. Doesn’t it just make bankroll management harder if you hit a bad run? I’ve always been more into flat betting, but maybe I’m missing something about how these systems “feel” more in control.

Anyone here actually have long-term luck with progression, or is it more just about managing the highs and lows emotionally?

flat betting always felt steadier for me since i could actually track loss streaks and keep playing, where progressions just shredded my balance whenever i hit turbo mode or quick spins. does anyone here really stick to a progression chart session after session without ever tilting?

chasing progressions on slots always backfired for me, especially with volatile 3d slots or games with respins. bankroll took harder hits and i’d end up questioning my goals instead of my tactics. flat betting feels dull but actually let me measure if a game was worth sticking with. curious if anyone here actually tracks progression stats long enough to draw real conclusions.

Progression feels like “doing something” but slots just rinse bigger bets faster on a cold streak.
