played gates for 2 hours and bonus never came, then next 10 spins after lowering bet it hits

two hours spinning away, nothing but dead spins and little teases. i was getting stubborn and kept the same bet size hoping for a turnaround. finally got annoyed and dropped it way down just so i could get a few more spins out of my balance before rage quitting. obviously, immediately after lowering, the bonus smacks in. not even a good one, just average, but still… classic move.

anyone else notice the bonus always seems to drop right after you change your bet? feel like i wasted all those spins for nothing. how do you all deal with this - do you just stick to one bet the whole session or do you change it up?

nah, i don't buy the bet-change magic part, but i do think gates is built to make you feel personally mocked, all those dumb sound effects and dead spins for a bonus that pays like it forgot why it showed up. i keep one bet, if it feels rotten i leave, not negotiate with a slot like an idiot

Maybe. But i think that’s your brain keeping receipts after the insult, not the slot getting clever. Still, gates does this theater so often i get salty every time, same stink as roulette lag right before the ball settles, and yes, that’s tuition, not failure.
