scatter paid nothing

Spun into free spins on a slot I hadn’t tried before, got three scatters, didn’t see a single cent payout. Weird thing is, I was under the impression scatters always pay something - if not money then at least bonus triggers. This was just… nothing. The round kept spinning and the game barely reacted. I double checked the rules but they’re about as clear as a foggy window.

Anyone else see this in newer slots, or is this just a cheap developer trick to make you think you’re hitting something? Older games always seemed to toss some coins your way for scatters, win or not. Getting skunked on all three reels just feels wrong, like a glitch or sneaky update to the math. Maybe I need to recalibrate how I spot value now that these new games are shifting up the features.

Tbh that screams cheap trick to me. Did the paytable say scatters only trigger bonus rounds and not pay, or was turbo mode on?

turbo mode on blackjack is goofy already lol, but on slots it masks dead symbol paylines sooo bad lmao

The part that gets me is when the rules read like they were translated through a toaster. If i have to hunt three menus deep in a video slot to figure out whether scatters pay, that’s not “modern design,” that’s somebody hiding the ball. Newer stuff, especially the buy bonus type, feels built to make the feature look busy while the base game does absolutely the minimum. In sports betting, at least a bad beat gets graded clean and you can see what happened. Here you’re left squinting at tiny symbols like a submarine sonar screen. Sooo yes, cheap trick energy to me, not a glitch 🙂

Nah lol sometimes it’s just garbage design, not even a trick. If the paytable says scatters trigger only, that “hit” is basically a coupon lmao

Worse, it’s not even the scatter, it’s the dead UI, sportsbook pushes get graded cleaner than this lol if 3 land and the game barely blinks that’s CHEAP on purpose to me lmao
