scatter count wrong?

Been noticing something weird on the slots lately - twice now I’ve hit three scatters, and the machine doesn’t trigger the free spins like it should. I’m talking about clear symbols, no way to miss them. Thought maybe it was just a display glitch but same thing happened on two different sessions. I tend to keep calm with stuff like this, but now it’s starting to bug me.

Is this a known bug, or can scatters ever not count depending on where they land? I always thought as long as you get the right number anywhere, you get the bonus. Has anyone else run into this, or am I just missing something obvious?

“keep calm” lol, i’d be less zen than that if Poker pulled the same three-scatter fakeout on me twice

acting like it has to be a bug is where people get burned, haha. i’ve seen lucky dragons and immortal romance both gate bonus rounds with dumb little paytable conditions, and promo/free-play spins can be even stricter, so “three scatters” by itself proves a lot less than people think.

It's usually not "three anywhere" the way people assume, some games want left-to-right reels or only base-game symbols, the tiny paytable text is where they hide it. I hate that stuff because of course the machine knows and we get to play accountant, real Poker room never got that cheap on me heh
