that was the worst free spins round ive ever seen

hit a bonus last night on a 20 cent spin and couldnt believe how bad the free spins were.

it gave me 10 spins, no retrigger or anything to change the round. mostly just dead spins.

there were a couple of small pays early on, 8 cents and 12 cents, with a bunch of zeroes in between and after.

the last spin hit a small line for 14 cents. total was 34 cents from all 10 spins, so not even 2x the bet.

i know bonuses can brick, but this one came off almost like the feature wasnt doing anything. it paid less than two normal hits.

is it common for a free spins round to return under 2x, or was that a particularly bad one?

i kept thinking there had to be one decent hit in there somewhere, but no. thanks

Ten free spins can come in under 2x, yeah. The bonus can just miss, and a couple of little line pays with all those blanks in between gets you nowhere. 34 cents back from a 20 cent spin is a pretty poor round, but nothing there says the feature failed. Hard to say how often it happens on that game without knowing which one and seeing its feature stats. Some bonuses just end with a few small pays and no decent hit.

Yeah, 34 cents off a 20-cent trigger is a rough one, and yes, a 10-spin bonus can come in under 2x. The free spins are just spins with a payout spread.

The bonus label doesn’t mean there’s a decent hit waiting in there. How often it happens depends on that game’s paytable and feature math, so I can’t say if it’s typical for this one without knowing the game. One round’s too small a sample to tell you much, though I get why ten spins with no retrigger and those little pays felt like the feature barely switched on.

under 2x happens. i had 10 free spins pay about 25 cents on a 20-cent bet once (not much of a bonus). no idea how common it is on that game, but i’ve had lots with a couple small hits and the rest blank.
