I stick to the standard blackjack tables without side bets. Less shit to keep track of, so there’s more room for a bit of chat while the shoe’s going.
Every time i put a straight up chip out, that spin turns into the longest 20 seconds in the room. I can sit through outside bets and sections all day and it moves normal, but one number on the layout and suddenly the dealer taking the ball, no more bets, the first 4 bounces, all of it drags like shit. I started paying attention to it because i was putting 1u on 17, 20 and 32 mixed in with my other action and those were the only spins that got under my skin. Not even because of the loss, just the wait. If i have 12 on red or 6 on a line i don't lock in on every little turn. Straight bet and i'm staring at the wheel like an idiot. What i keep noticing is this part: dealer spin looks slower right away ball sounds louder on the deflectors every near miss sticks in my head losing spin takes forever to land winning one is over in 2 seconds I even timed a few sessions on my phone after the fact, 30 spins with no straight ups and 30 spins where i had at least one straight. Average was near enough the same, 19-22 sec depending on dealer, so i know the wheel isn't changing. My head is doing it. Still doesn't stop it happening. It gets worse when it's only 1 number. Split or street doesn't hit me the same. Straight 26 for 2 units and i can swear the last 3 revolutions take a full minute. Put 6 units on 2 dozens and i barely look up until the drop. That's the part that annoys me, because the exposure is smaller on the straight but it grabs all the attention. Now when i play i write the numbers first and leave them there for 8 spins minimum, otherwise i start chasing the last fucking bounce and every spin gets even longer. If i'm moving 1 chip every round, that's when the wait turns stupid and i end up more invested in the spin time than the result
Rake eats whatever the shoving leaves behind anyway, so the volume is the whole product
Which book burned you on grading speed?
Had a bonus pay about 60 cents on a 40-cent bet once, couple little line hits scattered through and the rest dead (if i remember right). When the bigger symbols don’t connect, the round can just sit there
Live dealer sits separate from regular blackjack, easy to miss in the lobby. Go into live casino and filter blackjack (two menu steps, i think).
Blackjack barely counts, skip it
Nines on an ace river, gross spot for him
