football accumulators have been killing me lately.

anyone else on a brutal run with these accas lately? feels like every saturday i pick four or five “safe” matches and there’s always one slipping up. most weeks i’m getting done by an 89th minute penalty or some bottom-of-the-table team suddenly remembering how to score goals. i know you’ve got to expect swings but i’m starting to wonder if the value’s even there anymore, especially with the way odds seem to tighten up around kick-off.

been thinking of just doing singles instead or maybe doubles at most, but the big win on an acca is always staring at me. i know i’m supposed to stick to small consistent bets, but the habit’s hard to break - always feels like “one good weekend” could set me up for months. anybody here actually making decent profit with football accumulators this season? or is it just lottery tickets with extra steps at this point?
