Live betting vs pre-match edge

hi all,

i've been trying to figure this out with football and tennis bets the last few weeks.

pre-match i can at least sit with the lines, compare them, and decide if i want in.
live i keep getting spots that look better, especially after a fast goal or a bad first set, but the price moves so hard that i can't tell if i'm chasing or if that's where the edge is.

i'm only playing small, like $10 to $25 a bet, so i'm not talking about huge swings.
i can grind alright either way, but live betting keeps pulling me in because it looks softer in the moment!

then after it settles, i look back and think pre-match was probably the cleaner number.

Are there more real edges in live betting than pre-match, or does it just look that way because you're watching it happen?

i'm talking about normal markets, sides and totals mostly, not weird props

I think pre-match is cleaner for normal sides and totals. Live prices react to the score, clock, and what just happened, so the screen can look softer than my read.

Live works for me only when i can price it myself. $25 has no effect on the line, it still jumps hard.

I've found the soft live numbers are in the small leagues nobody streams, the big ones get priced tight in seconds.

Live totals move before you can click. No edge there.

Twenty-five max and the line still jumps that hard?
