How do you guys stay disciplined after a big win?
honestly i feel like most people don't even want to stay disciplined after a big win. everyone says they're gonna set some aside, stop chasing, whatever. but then the roll looks fat and suddenly you're playing limits you have no business at, or betting props that never would've crossed your mind before. nobody admits it but half the fun for people is the rush of throwing down way too much after they score big.
i'm not saying it's all bad, it's just weird how every youtube video says bankroll management is so easy and you just need to follow your own "rules." as if anybody actually has rules that last for more than a week. even in poker i see guys take some bad beats, hit one big hand, and instantly they're hunting action everywhere. does anyone here genuinely stick to a strict routine after a nice heater, or is that all just something people pretend?
after a good bonus run, tapette53 always hides half in a separate wallet before even thinking about upping bets, otherwise discipline vanishes faster than decent live baccarat tables at peak time. anyone else make withdrawals right after promos, or just me?
i fall for the same trap sometimes but tracking bets in a spreadsheet helps me cool off, especially after i read sportsbook reviews and see how many others go on tilt too, nobody’s immune but slow and steady still feels possible
