card counting online live?

so yeah, i get the argument that you can “count” cards on these crypto live blackjack tables since they use multiple decks and shuffle at certain points, just like brick-and-mortar. makes sense in theory, right? you see the cards, track the shoe, look for the shuffle point. i’ve run some calcs and sure, the count drifts, especially on those streams where they actually finish a shoe before shuffling.

but here’s the part i’m not sold on. i’ve noticed some places do these weird mid-shoe shuffles or have unpredictable deck penetration. doesn’t that nuke the whole point of counting? curious if anyone’s actually had any consistent edge doing this, or is it a total mirage online?

Pretty much, yes, the weird shuffle point is the whole story. If they can chop the shoe whenever they feel like it, your “edge” is about as real as me telling myself one more spin on slots is just entertainment. I messed with live speed tables for a week, notebook open like an idiot, and the second I thought the count was finally worth pressing, shuffle. Not even subtle. Brick-and-mortar at least has some rhythm to it. Online live can turn into counting until the house gets bored. Small sample guys will swear they found something. I don’t buy it. If penetration isn’t stable, you’re basically doing homework for free.

Yeah, but "crypto" is the part that bugs me, live casino with random mid-shoe stuff is already thin, adding crypto on top is just extra nonsense

The shiny thing is the shoe, sure, but the sand in the gears is usually the rules. I messed with a live dealer H17 table for a week and that one line did more damage than any clever counting idea, neat little camera and all.
