what is the actual house edge difference between 3:2 and 6:5 blackjack online?
I keep reading that 3,2 blackjack is way better than 6,5, but I’m struggling to find some solid info on what the difference actually is. I know the payout change hurts, but how big is the hit really, especially when you’re playing online and rules can be all over the place? I’ve seen people throw out all kinds of numbers, but it’s hard to know if they’re counting stuff like surrender, double after split, or just basic payout.
In roulette, I can see the house edge plain as day, but with blackjack the fine print seems to matter a lot more. I’m trying to be a little optimistic that 6,5 isn’t as terrible as everyone makes it out to be, at least for someone who just plays the occasional session for fun and doesn’t go full spreadsheet on it. Would love to hear from folks who’ve actually run the numbers or just noticed differences over time in their own bankrolls.
